DC-04 Dileep has just completed a three-month secondment at the University of Florence (UniFI), Italy, as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie GlycoNoVi network, under the guidance of Prof. Cristina Nativi. During this period, he worked on the synthesis of fluorinated human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) — gaining valuable experience, overcoming a few lab challenges, and achieving promising results.

The secondment offered not only technical growth in glycoscience and organic synthesis but also the opportunity to engage with a vibrant research community. He extends heartfelt thanks to the team at UniFI and the GlycoNoVi network for their support, collaboration, and warm hospitality. It was a rewarding journey both scientifically and culturally — from the lab bench to the sunlit streets of Firenze. 🍝☀️
